12 Months of Marriage

11 Horseback Rides--The kids love horseback riding! We bought our first family horse named Deacon and have enjoyed riding horses often. I'm not sure it was quite 11, but we love riding together as a family.

10 Bags of Feed for Elliott--Kason got a birthday calf named Elliott. He is a sweet little calf who loves his milk and grain. The kids love to go out and feed him morning and night. Kason even fed him all by himself one day. We feel like we go through lots of bags of feed at our house!

9 Sunbeams--Kolt and I have served in the sunbeams class together since January. We started with 9 sunbeams in our class and now have 11. It is busy, but we love serving together and we love the kids.

8 Days in Mexico--In January, Kolt and I took a trip to Mexico to visit his mission. We loved it! It was hard to be away from the kids and hard for me to adjust to the new culture, but we loved visiting the members and those who loved Kolt while he was serving in Mexico.

7 Seasons of House--Kolt and I have enjoyed watching the series House on Netflix. It has 8 seasons, but we only made it through the first 7 this year. Kolt really enjoyed watching it as a break from studying.

6 Weeks of Potty Training Boot Camp-Kason finally got potty trained in August! It took a pretty consistent 6 weeks or so or diligent trips to the bathroom and "chocolate candy" rewards for successes. He is doing great now, and we are so excited!

5th Year of Coaching Volleyball Begins--This is my 5th year coaching freshman volleyball at Bonneville High School. I love being around these great girls and watching them improve. It's tough to take the kids every day, but I've been fortunate to have lots of people willing to help this year.

4 Days in the Hospital with Kason--In April, Kason spent a Thursday-Monday at EIRMC with a severe case of pneumonia. It was a long, hard few days, keeping a toddler happy in a hospital bed. He was blessed to have lots of visitors, a huge bag of toys, the TV, the iPad and constant attention from Mom and Dad. He still remembers our days at the hospital and reminds us about them. We survived and are happy to have him home!

3 Baby #3 is on the way--In June, we found out that we were expecting Baby #3! A Girl! We are so excited! Kolay loves babies and is going to maul this child. Kason is a great big brother and was somewhat disappointed that it was a girl, but he is going to be an excellent brother to two little sisters.

2 Busy Toddlers--Kason and Kolay keep us on our toes constantly. They love to play together and be on the go, always. They love to be outside, especially around horses. They always look after each other and love to be together. When they are apart for a long time, they get to excited to see each other again and greet each other with big hugs. It's been a blast having them so close together.

1 Year of PA School Complete and 1 Year To Go!!--Kolt finished his didactic year of Physician Assistant School at ISU. It was a lot of work and a lot of studying, but he did it! And he did very well! This next year consists of 8 5-week rotations in clinical settings. We are really excited for the next adventure.
